Spry Health, like many tech startups, began by using spreadsheets to track hours and perform scheduling tasks. As they grew, they found that this method was unable to grow with them. The manual nature of the data entry and the growing complexity of both scheduling and tracking tasks led to more and more errors bleeding into the payroll process, and more and more time being spent in finding and correcting those errors.

Although the administration team loved Ximble’s automatic app-based clocking in and out, as well as the Gusto integration, it was really the ease of use that put Ximble ahead of the pack in Spry Health’s selection process. It was very important to them that the system do what it needs to do as easily as possible and then get out of the way, and Ximble fit that bill exactly.
The transition to Ximble was very smooth. There were only minor issues in learning some of the specific processes involved in sending time sheet data to Gusto, and those issues were ironed out quickly and efficiently. The management team has never tracked how much time is actually spent doing payroll each pay cycle, but they estimate a time savings of 1-2 hours per cycle with a much lower incidence of errors.
Ximble’s standout feature for Spry Health has been the Gusto integration. Thanks to Ximble’s ability to send data directly to Gusto, no one has to jump back and forth between multiple systems which saves not just time, but mental energy that can be better spent on other, more important tasks.
