How to Manage Payroll Online With NimbleSchedule – Customizable Payroll Export File
Running a successful business operation simply demands less time spent on administrative things, staff management and payroll processing and more time and attention dedicated to the actual work. If your company hires an HR team with experts whose sole role is to manage payroll, then you can rely on them to resolve any issues along the way. But even then, having an easy to use and flexible payroll online system that allows your company to spend the least possible time on the payroll process and focus on other, more important, activities is the best possible scenario.
NimbleSchedule seamlessly integrates with leading payroll processing systems such as ADP, TRAX Payroll, Gusto, Paychex Preview and a couple of others. This allows our clients to select from a wide variety of third party systems, thus ensuring that payroll is processed quickly and easily. For those that prefer running the payroll through some other methods, we also provide a built-in payroll report file which clients can easily export to a CSV format. Running payroll online has never been easier than with our system.
This time we decided to take the things to the next level and provide our clients with complete control over how our payroll export file looks: from naming the columns the way a client wants, selecting the order and format of all fields to selecting what kind of data should be included. In other words, our payroll online export system now allows complete customization.
As you can see on a sample screenshot above, managing the type of data that you wish to include in your export file when handling payroll processing is quite easy. You can label each column the way you wish, without any limitations; you can select the exact type of data you wish to fill into that column, and you can select the right format you might need. If you’re operating a US based business, then, for example, for any kind of data format you can select the mm-dd-yyyy format, while, if you are running a European company, you can select dd-mm-yyyy or even dd.mm.yyyy. However, these are just some of the examples from many different choices.
If a CSV export file is particularly useful in your company in order to manage payroll processing, then you can completely customize the output of that file through the Payroll Settings section in our Settings/Configuration zone. Once you’re there, and you have the CSV output selected at the top of that page, you’ll have an option to customize the elements of the payroll online export file. Here’s the list of all the available fields.

Once you select the type of data you need to include in your export file, you can re-order some of the items by using the arrow icons to move one or more of your columns more to the left or more to the right of your CSV file. This customized export file will be available once you run a detailed payroll online report, while in the summary report, you’ll have the default export file with all the fields included in the on-page report as well.
